Back to College!
Great to hear that things are getting off to a good start at the School of the Word this week. Roger has sent all us lecturers the photos of the new students. A really cool, intelligent and spiritual lot they look - very intimidating for us humble lecturers.
We have sent Jon and Ali Dumville from Huddersfield this year and I am confident they are going to be a great asset. They’re a terrific couple. I am also confident that they are going to grow and be added to over the next nine months.

Chris and Clare Haygarth were at the College last year and have come back to us here at Huddersfield much more confident, established in their faith and equipped to serve. It’s a joy having them back with us and I’m excited about how God is going to use them in the years to come.

Hi,
Cameron Fraser here writing from Canada.(I’m the smily face in Roger’s slide show of faces from the School of the Word - an intelligent and spiritual smily face I’m sure). I also studied English at University and also a high school English teacher (although I’ve only taught for one year). When I eventually do get to Cardiff I’ll be one of your students. I’m waiting for my visa to arrive. Michelle has told me to look out for you, she’s sure I’ll enjoy your lectures and I am looking forward to getting going with the school. Your blog is great and I enjoy reading what you put up here. All the best, and see you in Wales.
Cameron
P.S. Ever read any Canadian Lit? I’ll be sure to have something excellent for your perusal.

Looking forward to meeting you, Cameron. I trust that you smile as much as your photo suggests! I don’t think that I have read any Canadian Lit and will look forward to you introducing me to its delights. I have had a good introduction to Canadians over recent years - including Steve, Ben, Jon and Caleb. You come from good stock!

hi trev,
is there anywhere on the blog that we can just send you a message without is being posted. things don’t just get automatically posted do they?
the reason being i would hate to say anything that wasn’t of the up most serious in nature and it just get popped up on the world wide web for all visitors to see and frown upon.
anyway blog looks great, good to see the “one of a thousand” gets prime posting. i also stand in agreement. we live in exciting times, what an exciting God we serve. if all goes to plan (my plans not necessarily Gods)we will be back in huddersfield building along side you. please pray these are Gods plans also.
good to see you the other day

Mesage for Cameron, I have some Canadian authors amongst my favourite contempary writers, Margaret Atwood, Carol Sheilds, Alice Munro and Michael Ondaadje.
I was also very influence by Anne of Green Gables as a child and still re-read the books every few years!
Maybe you could recommend some more classic novels to me from amongst your finest writer.
Best wishes, Kim Murden
