youth_at_f_rocky_smallI’m sorry that I didn’t get to the blog yesterday but I had trouble with my computer - don’t you just love them!

Added to the exciting prophetic word of a church of a thousand, there was a word for our youth in the church this weekend saying that there was a special season of grace and anointing upon them and that they can double in number in the next twelve months.

My wife, Alison (see …

An Easy Yoke & A Light Burden

Back from A Great Conference

Posted: Monday, September 26th, 2005 @ 2:29 pm in Personal News | 3 Comments »

It’s good to be back to blogging after a week away. I had a few days retreat in a beautiful area just outside Huddersfield, where I was able to do some writing. I hope to be back in full flight next week!

I’ve been to a meeting today to hear about the proposed new law on Religious Hatred, listening to my local MP, and to a barrister form the Lawyers Christian Fellowship. I am not sure what I think about this bill, but most others there seemed to be ‘Christians’ who were dead set against it because they thought it would be used - or abused - to stop us from preaching the gospel or stating we believe that Jesus is the only way to God, or being critical of other religions.

Now, …

Book Review: Money, Sex and Power

Here’s the second of my reviews on books recently read.

0340756233.02.lzzzzzzz1_400Richard Foster, Money, Sex and Power

I have intended reading this book for quite some time as I recognise that it is about the three main idols that have always affected humanity - the diabolical distortions of money, sex and power (the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life). They’ve been around since Eve …
