Exploring Our Inheritance

I like this verse I came across in reading Genesis recently. God exhorts Abraham to take a walk and explore the land that he was giving to him:
Take a walk in every direction and explore the new possessions I am giving you (Gen.13:17)
We need to do the same with our spiritual land - the inheritance that we have in Christ. For too many Christians it goes undiscovered, let alone unexplored! Part of reading the Bible, should be to discover, …

I’m back from my journey down to London to appear on Revelation TV. The studios were round the corner from Euston Station and just beneath the BT Tower (pictured). I had a great time. It was a fascinating experience going on live TV, trying to be conscious of an audience that you can’t see - but not too conscious of them that you become intimidated. I’m amazed and sobered at times that it is possible to be in the awesome presence of God and yet be switched off to it. Last Sunday morning, in our gathering, we had a brilliant time in worship, with God’s presence strongly felt. And yet even then I know there were those who did not experience it or sense it - and …
This seems to me to be a dreadful admission, but, after having refused to ever watch it before, I actually allowed myself to watch ’snatches’ of ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!’ My excuse for this uncharacteristic lapse of taste is that I was interested to see how the Christian commedian, Bobby Ball, got on. I won’t say anything about that!
