Visit to Loughborough
It was my pleasure and privilege to be preaching at King’s Church Loughborough on Sunday. It was great to catch up with my friends, Mike and Heather Hughes (in picture), and their children, Megan and Ellie. Mike makes a great ‘real’ fire; he settles me down in front of it with a lovely cup of coffee and then drags me out to speak at another meeting!! Typical! But it was good to see people I’d not seen for a while, like Peter and Barbie Reynolds, Richard White, Steve Moses and others. It blessed me that although our paths seldom cross these days, there is still a sense of joining - we come from the same roots and we are pursuing the same ultimate vision. I love the church of Jesus Christ - and am so glad it is much bigger than any one group! I love being part of the ‘house’ that I am in and know it’s where I belong; but I thank God for all houses, families, clans and tribes in the whole people of God throughout the earth. And I trust that my preaching did some good for that particular group of God’s people in Loughborough!

hey! have you ever enjoyed the cozy warmth of the ‘real’ and massive fireplace at Andrew Caughey’s house. It seems like the place to be, forever.

We greatly enjoyed having you with us Trevor and your word on being pilgrims has struck a chord for many of us - our elders/deacons time on Tuesday evening reflected on many aspects of what you shared with us and we encountered God in a fresh way together - no settling here and it’s good to be part of the wider family of God on the journey
PS so glad that your wife is OK after the shock of yesterday!
