The Power of Bloggers
See this interesting article on the democratic power, potential and dangers of blogging from the BBC Website. I wonder if we have yet realised the potential of blogging for the advance of the Kingdom, rather than mainly as a source of mutual encouragement, teaching and sharing of thoughts/ideas? A totally valid use of them of course, but how else might we use them to reach the world?
Anyway, when considering the dangers as well as the delights of the democratization of media, which might seem to add to the worry expressed in the well-known saying about ‘a lie getting right around the world before truth has even tied its laces’, we do well to also consider what I am told is an old Russian proverb:
‘one word of truth outweighs the world.’
God’s truth will ultimately always prevail in a world of lies, hype, spin and bias.
