Good News About Hostage Norman Kember
Praise God for the surprise rescue and release of British Christian peace activist, Norman Kember, along with his two Canadian fellow-hostages. They were taken hostage in November and hope seemed to be running out for them after the murder of their fellow hostage, Tom Fox, a few weeks ago. I find myself thinking and praying for his family right now. But it is also terrific news aout the release of the other hostages. Their familes must be ecstatic! Norman Kember was clearly motivated by his faith in the peace and reconciliation work that he was seeking to do in Iraq, and expressed on Christian radio not long before he left for Iraq, that he wanted to do something more towards peace work than just demonstrate and write letters. Whatever one may think of his views, I always admire someone who courageously puts his faith into practice. Thank God for his safe release.

Praise God for this, not only for their release but for the world seeing Christians actively trying to make a difference in this world.

This is fantastic news! Praise God. I have just blogged about an Afghani christian, Abdul Rahman, who may face the death penalty for converting from Islam. Let’s pray that he will also be released.
