fireGod has been speaking to us as a church here in Huddersfield about a key to experiencing his Presence - namely, maintaining our passion for him! God does not turn up for the casual and the complacent. He is looking for a people who are continually on fire for him. People who are passionate in their love for him, in worshipping, in praying, in serving him, in pursuing his purposes, in reaching the lost and in practicalisng that …

Who Am I?

question_markI am your constant companion. I am your greatest helper or your heaviest burden. I will push you onwards or drag you down to failure. I am completely at your command. Half the things you do, you might as well turn over to me and I’ll do them quickly and correctly. I’m easily managed, but you must be firm with me. Show me exactly how you want something done and, after a few lessons, I’ll do …

50433658_5feb4776db_m1Hope everyone had a great Bonfire weekend. This is a photo of fireworks from one of Huddersfield’s most well-known sites - Castle Hill. Brilliant, isn’t it?

We had a great time in our gathering on Sunday morning here in Huddersfield, with testimonies of healing, miraculous financial provision and salvation, and a baptism with lots of guests hearing the gospel. We also had 5 people respond to an appeal to commit their lives to Jesus! Hallelujah!

I believe that the message of the Kingdom is going to be preached to all nations, and that this Kingdom is going to fill the whole earth! Multitudes will respond … Continue reading And Finally - The Last Few Principles Of Restoration...

Even More Principles of Restoration

Posted: Tuesday, November 1st, 2005 @ 2:03 pm in Bible Insights, Pastor's Tips | No Comments »

I am still having to go for the smaller bitesize postings at the moment, but I am continuing to be blessed with thinking about some of the things that God has restored, is restoring and wants to restore more fully to his church, inspired by meditating on Jeremiah 30-31. I’d be interested to hear from readers about what they feel are some of the most important things that they feel God has restored/is restoring to his people. I’m continuing with a few of my own thoughts today:

Remnant of Israel (31:7-8) … Continue reading Even More Principles of Restoration...

Further Principles of Restoration

Posted: Monday, October 31st, 2005 @ 4:41 pm in Bible Insights, Pastor's Tips | No Comments »

I have a dilemma - the list of things that have jumped out at me from the Jeremiah chapters concerning the things that God is restoring to his people, is getting bigger. And my task list for today is continually getting bigger and has left me with little time for blogging. So I will just note down a couple and come up with some more tomorrow.

‘I will be the God of all the clans of Israel’  (Jeremiah 31:1) - I believe that Jesus is returning for one united church - a … Continue reading Further Principles of Restoration...
